Our ministry was inspired by several events that occurred during a time when we were working on Mary Lou’s Creations, a design company of Bridal and Formal wear. Along with two other partners who coordinated several spectacular Events, from Pageants, Extravagant Galas, Charity Events, Fashion Shows, The Bridal Line and many others.
However, all of that changed when Mary Lou was in a car accident that almost ended in tragedy. With that experience she then knew what it felt like to know her creator in such a powerful and supernatural way. After a long recovery period, she joined the Brain Injury Association of Florida, where she was asked to be their Event Coordinator.
Many other situations and events occurred during those past years, but the most powerful one was when the Holy Spirit communicated with her to take up the Cross and follow him.
She knew she loved Event Planning, and then decided to plan a Gala Event for the Brain Injury Association. Mary knew what she wanted to do, but where? The Holy Spirit was working on her. “How about a Church the Holy Spirit revealed to her”. Instantly, she knew which one to select, because she had visited that Church before and also knew what kind of event to have, “A Formal Affair”!
After some thought, she spoke with her partners, and we all went together to visit that Church. Wow what an experience! It was exactly what we needed! The Pastor was having another, larger Church building built next to theirs, and the old one was vacant and only used for social occasions, but it was still beautiful. Every thing we needed to use was coincidentally there, including a Grand Piano; an instrument that Mary’s husband loves to play, and he has always been one of our musicians for all of our Events. (Notice how God works; put Him first and he will give you the desires of your heart.) It was at no cost to us, but we did give a love offering. The love and warmth that was there touched our hearts in such a special way. This was our turning point for establishing Heavenly Hands For Charities, Inc.
Our ministry is now a 501 (c)3 entity and we are diligently seeking and planning Events for Charities in our community, and those doing the work for others in need.
As of now, we have been distributing, clothing, food, household, and many other items to numerous Charities and individuals that are in need.
For the near future, the Lord has placed in our hearts to open a Christian Home for Battered Women, where they can feel safe and loved. We have chosen the name to be “2nd Chance Christian Rehabilitation Center, a residential home where they will learn the principals of trusting God, helping them with spiritual truths, economic wellness, mentoring, removing desperation by exploring hope for a new life, and others types of support. There are many lost soul that need salvation, and Jesus is the answer.
The Lord has also revealed to us a Home For Children and Babies in need. Where? We do not know at this time, but God does.
